Both Caleb Elliott and Billy Allen represent a new generation of the Shoals sound, with national touring experience and collaborations that include Alabama Shakes, Jason Isbell, John Paul White, and other acclaimed artists. On September 12, they join the Shoals Symphony for a one-night double feature, bringing their distinctive blend of rock, soul, gospel, and singer-songwriter storytelling to the stage with full orchestral arrangements written especially for the occasion.

Maestro's Mixtape

Built around the idea of a mixtape as a way of getting to know someone, Maestro’s Mixtape serves as Maestro Ethan Lolley’s musical introduction to the Shoals. The program moves through the music that has shaped him, from Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and the finale of Swan Lake to The Phantom of the Opera, Pirates of the Caribbean, Rocky, Skyfall, and Hercules. Along the way, Ethan will share personal stories, welcome special guests from throughout his life, and even step out from behind the podium to sing.

Hollydays on the Silver Screen: The Sequel

Last year, the Shoals Symphony presented the most successful holiday concert in its history. This year, we’re going bigger with the sequel. The program includes John Williams’ Somewhere in My Memory from Home Alone, Rossini’s Barber of Seville Overture, music from The Polar Express, and Sibelius’ Finlandia, featured in Die Hard 2. Add recreated movie moments, appearances from Shoals performers, and a few surprises along the way, and this year’s holiday concert is ready for its close-up. Will the sequel top the original?
